SCCOHT-SMARCA4 Registry and Biobank
SCSTs Registry and Biobank

SCCOHT registry and biobank

  • Located at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre and McGill University, Canada
  • Collects clinical, genetic and pathology data as well as biological material (blood, tumors) from patients
  • Confirms SCCOHT diagnoses with pathology review and molecular characterization, confirms or provides testing for genetic variants in the gene SMARCA4 to patients and relatives at risk for the disease
  • Develops experimental models (cell lines, tumor xenografts) using patient biological samples
  • This nodes is coordinated by Dr William Foulkes and his team Basile Tessier Cloutier, MD, Leora Witkowski, PhD, Céline Domecq, MSc, Afrida Ahmed, MSc, and Nancy Hamel, MSc at the RIMUHC and supported by Dr Morag Park and her team, Anie Morast, MSC and Hellen Kuasne, MSc at McGill University

More information

SCSTs registry and biobank

  • Based at Institut d’Investigació Biomédica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL) in Barcelona, Spain
  • Aims to recruit patients and confirm their SCSTs diagnoses with pathology review and molecular characterization
  • Collects clinical, genetic and pathology data as well as biological material (blood, tumors) from patients. In parallel, the nodes perform genomic analyses of SCSTs with unconfirmed diagnosis to aid on histological classification.
  • Tumor xenografts from patients in the registry are derived at the Mouse lab facility of the IDIBELL headed by Juana Fernández PhD.
  • This node is coordinated by Dr. Bárbara Rivera and her team Carla Roca MSc, Anne-Sophie Chong MSc, Cristina Rioja, PhD and Conxi Lázaro PhD.
